Checkmate! We’ve seen checkerboard EVERYTHING trend in a huge way lately, but you can’t get much better than 19th-century originals, as with this Escher-like nook in a fairy-tale Italian tower. The building was recently overhauled by Filippo Chia (@filippocastelloromitorio), who happens to collect antique tiles.
