The word “balayage” has really taken on the meaning of highlighting. Balayage is a highlight technique used to create a sun kissed or lived in look. If someone is a natural blonde they can probably get pretty light with that technique. But! If you are a level 1-6, (black hair, brown hair or light brown hair), what you really want is a full global bleach out or a full full head of foils! Balayage will give you about 1-3 levels of lift where as foils can give you 3+ levels of lift. 💪🏽 Ladies I’ll tell you what you want, you want all the foils in the world and you will get your platinum look. (Hopefully 😉) Don’t forget, the more you want to achieve sitting in the chair, the more it is going to cost 💰 you to sit in that chair 🪑 Full global bleach outs can take 5-10 hours Full head foiling 5-7ish hours (or more) I remember when we booked highlights for 2 hours, Now my average time is 4-5 hours. That two hour highlight was a 7 foils for $25 deal, with no toner or root blend involved. That is just not the way it is anymore!
