being a guy with depression, at times mental illness and masculinity seem to be diametrically opposed to each other. it can feel impossible to reach out to others, to seek help when we need it, or to even cry in the privacy of our own home. at my lowest points, kinship with my brothers for life was what brought me out of the hole. it was beautiful to be able to witness the brotherhood shared by these two, and to witness the creation of a community like @coopsadvice. tell your friends you love them every day.
