When I first made the decision to move to the Italian countryside, a part of me was afraid I’d be missing out. I had lived in LA for 12 years — I was used to the pace, the energy, the endless stimulation. It was familiar, and walking away from it felt like a huge leap into the unknown. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that I wasn’t missing out — I was making space. Space to slow down. To heal. To reconnect with myself on a deeper level. To expand spiritually, emotionally, and physically in ways I never could in the noise of the city. The countryside gave me the gift of presence. It invited me back into rhythm with nature, with my body, and with what truly matters to me. And now? I honestly can’t imagine going back to big city life.
