SHAWARMA PITA• -loaded pitas with the easiest shawarma seasoned chicken thighs, finely diced sumac salad, garlic spread, always with the white sauce around here AND the red chutney 🤍 HERE IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO: -season 5 piece skinless chicken thigh with 2 TBSP shawarma seasoning, 1 TBSP sumac, juice of one lemon, and a drizzle of oil. Mix and set aside -create a finely diced tomato, onion, cucumber salad with a sprinkle of salt, juice of half a lemon, sprinkle of sumac. Mix and set aside -in a hot pan (i used a cast iron) with very little oil, add in your chicken thighs and cook about 5 minutes per side. Set aside to rest. After rested slice and dice. -warm your pita slightly. Spread a layer of garlic sauce/spread (my favorite is from Trader Joe’s), layer in chicken, top with white sauce + red chutney.
