Infant potty training success! I’m not training my baby to use the potty per se. I am training myself to be attuned to his signals. He usually makes a fussy sound right before he has to go. Today I sat him on the potty and caught the pee pee! I am choosing to practice Elimination Communication for a few reasons: 1) ATTUNEMENT- I am tuning in to my baby’s needs before he goes into distress about them 2) this builds TRUST 3) It feels RESPECTFUL to me. No sitting in excrement. 4)I am fostering INDEPENDANCE by helping him tune in to his own needs. He will be able to use the potty on his own sooner than he would if he stays in diapers. 5)It keeps me in the PRESENT moment 6)It’s a MONEY SAVER!!! 7) Its GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. Less diapers in the landfill. I just had to share because most people don’t know this is an option.
