Please lend a hand to the suffering mothers and children in Palestine this Mother’s Day by tagging an influencer you believe can help amplify their voices. Let’s make a difference together. TAG THEM IN THE COMMENTS 😤⬇️
Frankly, my respect for influencers, especially those making a living off social media, has diminished greatly due to their silence during this critical humanitarian crisis. While I understand the pressure they might feel to safeguard their careers, influencers hold significant power. Just one IG story from them can influence where people eat, what products they buy, and even inspire donations or raise awareness. They’re essentially a form of media, and they’re invited to press previews and partner with major brands because PR agencies recognize their influence.
As influencers (anyone above a 1K following), we have the choice not to perpetuate the silence around Palestine, especially when the western media is already ignoring it.
I’ve been trying to connect with YouTubers, even though I’m not on their radar. Surprisingly, it’s these NYC influencers with limited reach to just NYC who remain silent, not the You Tubers who have more at stake with their GLOBAL reach. Despite the risks, these YouTubers have bravely spoken out in support of Palestine. I’m not singling out anyone in NYC; I’m simply voicing my disappointment. It’s disheartening that advocating for humanity is considered taboo.
I’m prepared to lose business connections and followers if it means standing up against genocide. Besides I would rather have likeminded individuals on the right side of history following me anyway.
As @macklemore said in the song, “You can pay off @meta, you can’t pay off ME!😤😤😤”
