Now there is a headline we like to see 😍 Hon. Simon Kofe, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Tuvalu 🇹🇻 has joined the call for a #FossilFuelTreaty. He is the first (hopefully of many) Foreign Ministers to endorse the Treaty proposal. Minister Kofe famously gave a speech at #COP26 last year standing knee-deep in the ocean to show the impact the climate crisis is having on his home. Pacific governments have led the call for climate action - including calling for a treaty to phase out fossil fuels - for years. Now senior government leaders in Vanuatu and Tuvalu have publicly supported the Treaty proposal and we are working with them and civil society to explore pathways for formal endorsement.
