Hospital Diaries: A Month Through Nephrotic Syndrome - Before, During & After Hospitalization This video shows how my body changed over the course of a month through my relapse of Minimal Change Disease. With Nephrotic Syndrome, the kidneys leak protein through urine, which then could lead to severe water retention. Sometimes oral diuretics help, but once certain levels drop too low, hospital infusions are needed to pull & flush the fluid safely. It’s surreal watching it all back. But documenting it this time reminded me how far I’ve come.. even when recovery isn’t quite linear.
