1990. I switched high schools my junior year. I moved about an hour away from my hometown with my mom. This was taken at my new school on a day when I felt super out of place and had no real friends. However, thanks to the help of my longtime drama coach, she helped arrange an audition for Cinderella just before my first day. Would you believe I actually got the part? They announced it on the intercom my first week at the new school. Students were like wtf is she? Once the production was over, I switched back to my old high school. (That’s a longer story for my book one day.) People there must’ve thought that was so weird. It *was weird. Also, the amount of daily chemicals required to keep this hair going.... 🤦🏻‍♀️ #tbt
