For flip up methods, I use silicone lined beads.
If the silicone pops out when I’m putting my bead on, I get a new bead.
That usually indicates that I need to either go up a bead size, use a smaller section size, or start my bead lower on the hair strand.
I like resistance when I put a bead on, but the silicone popping out tells me I have some adjustments to make!
Most of the time, if the silicone pops out but I can still get the bead where I normally like it to sit, it tells me I need to adjust my section size.
I know I need to go up a bead size when putting my bead in place creates a flyaway mess. You’ll know it when you see it.
If I can tell the bead will go on, but the silicone is ABOUT to come out of the bead, that is when I’ll pop the bead on lower on the hair strand.
Who knew the silicone in your bead could be so helpful?! 😉
