MOVEMENT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 @yasmin_qureshi_uk’s Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Bill passed its second reading today with cross-party support. Sure it’s no golden bullet (employers can still refuse too easily) but it’s world’s away from where things were when I quit in 2015 because my flexible working request was denied - and went on to launch Flex Appeal. MPs are listening. The laws are (slowly) changing. There’s so more work to do BUT in fairly tough times these hard-fought wins have to be celebrated 🎉 **Here’s to the graft of the @flex_for_all_ coalition and on a personal level to @workingfamuk who have been shaping the bill closely and took me on as an ambassador to fully support Flex Appeal when I was drowning a fair bit here.**
