Clean line pull tutorial ⬇️ 💓 1. I’m using regular masking tape and trying not to layer too many strips on top of each other 2. Canvases are textured so the tape isn’t going to stick to every groove unless you press it down properly. I like to use a little paddle to press down where I’ll be cutting my tape. 3. Use the edge of the tape for straight lines and cut with an X-Acto knife for exact cuts. apply even pressure with the knife but be careful not to cut into your canvas (I’ve done this multiple times but you’ll find the perfect pressure with practice) 4. Peel away any unneeded tape and press down the edges one more time 5. This is optional but I do like to seal the edges of my tape with a paint medium usually a varnish that I let dry before I paint 6. I paint around the edges of the tape first making sure to pull my brush away from the edge of the tape to not push any unnecessary paint underneath the tapes edge. 7. Fill in the rest of the canvas 8. pull your tape while your paint is still wet. Make sure to pull slowly (my video is in 10x speed) and close to the canvas at a small angle. Hope this helps 💓 . . . . #artistvlog #painttips #painttok #paintingart #blackpainter #blackartist
