The Prosper school district has hired an independent firm to look into allegations that a bus driver sexually assaulted two young girls. The students rode the bus three to four times a week with the abuse occurring in more than 100 instances during the 2021-22 school year, according to a lawsuit filed by their family. All the incidents happened while the bus was on district property and were captured on surveillance footage. The suit, filed Thursday in Collin County, does not name the elementary school the girls attended. It does state that the abuse occurred when the two were in kindergarten and first grade, or 5 and 7 years old at the time.
