Photo from back in the day (late ‘86/ early ‘87) while we were recording Mick’s solo album “Primitive Cool” (Right Track Recording studio NYC) If y’all have heard the story of how I hooked up with @officialspector , you’ll know I got my hands on the black Spector “loaner” bass while I was working with Mick - you can see that bass in these photos. Early ‘87, I went to Neptune, NJ & met Stuart Spector at the factory. We decided that Stuart would make a bass tailored to my specifications. Upon my next journey to see Stuart, he had the neck for the bass ready for me to see. I asked Stuart to shave it down a bit more, as I was going for a jazz bass neck profile, which Stuart did. It was Mick, Jeff Beck & Pierre de Beauport who were the catalysts for connecting me with Spector.
