"If you looked at us from the perspective of a fish, you might say all of our human behavior would seem pretty 'weird.'" Dou feels that the antidote to our current social condition is diversity of thought - not just in our immediate environment and the people we choose to surround ourselves with. But, more importantly in our internal dialogue. So much of Dou feels makes her a better artist and musician is her curiosity of what makes somebody else uniquely "weird" and her ability to stand in the shoes of somebody else - even something else.
