ông bà ngoại, Hồ Thị Anh and Lê Thanh Hoài. he left his hometown at 14 and came to Saigon to apprentice at a tailor shop. she came from central vietnam and was working as a hairdresser when they met. they got married and opened their own tailor shop. they named it Linh, after my mother. the shop smelled like old fabric, sawdust, and motor oil (from the mechanic next door).
