Anupama was also the Director of the IAWRT Asian Womans Film Festival for three years (2013-15), and of the Peace Builders International Film Festival in 2016. In her next feature documentary, NOCTURNES, co-directed by Anirban Dutta, moths are trying to tell us something deep in the remote forests of the Eastern Himalayas . Like the proverbial canary in a coal mine, they are quietly sounding an important alarm. If only we could get close enough to hear it. In the dead of night — and collaborating with a young local indigenous man with unique skills honed over generations — an ecologist named Mansi Mungee breaks all the rules as she begins mapping the colorful, complex and unseen world of moths.
