We’re finally Producing an R&D for Chiaroscuro!!! And H<3rtists, we want to hear from YOU 👄💫 We welcome a meeting of minds to explore the R&D of Akadi Sankofa’s Chiaroscuro @treeswithroots ! The R&D will create a safe space for actors to explore the challenges of psychosis and our perceptions of reality and illusion. We aim to examine any links between the intersectional identities of black men and the influence of ancestry and spirituality rooted in African and Caribbean traditions and storytelling. We are looking for: 1 Female Actor for the roles of: Ensemble 1 Doctor, Left, Mother, Voice 1, Lunatic. 1 Male actor for the roles of: Ensemble 2 Pastor, Right, Little Boy, Voice 2, Young Gabriel. 1 Actor (gender non-specific) for the roles of: Ensemble 3 Creator/Stranger. 💸PAID. We want to hear from black, actors with a playful spirit, comfortable with Ensemble movement, song and devising. It is our aim to work with a professional psychiatrist during the R&D.
