I believed I could, so I did....Guysss ,The big day is here! 🎓 Today I have the honor of convocating from Olabisi Onabanjo University with my Bachelor of Science in Geography and Regional Planning. Over the past five years, I've absolutely loved learning about the complexities of people, places, and cultures across the world through a geographic lens. Mapping glacial landforms, studying urban planning policies, and analyzing pollution patterns has deepened my perspective and equipped me with knowledge to create positive change. When I first declared geography as my major, I saw it mainly as an interesting assemblage of topics - some physical science, some social science, with maps and landscapes thrown in. What I did not anticipate was how this major would fundamentally shape the way I view the world and my relationship to it. I am so grateful for the mentors who accompanied me on this journey and to my peers who challenged me to grow. I could not have chosen a more impactful major. As I embark on my career, I carry forward geography's spirit of curiosity, critical analysis, and purposeful action. Onward with the insights this field has gifted me. And to my fellow geo majors , we did it! I'm so proud of us and all we've accomplished. Our curiosity knows no bounds and the world needs our spatial perspectives now more than ever.
