This morning I am reminded of a Monday morning of Fashion Week in 1985 when I was in a big limo w Willi Smith of WilliWear and a reporter, Lynn Darling, from Esquire Magazine. She started her article something like this... “Designer Willi Smith seated in the back of long black limo as it pulls up to the Puck Building at 9am for his fashion show, pours himself a tumbler full of vodka and downs it quickly. ‘Get ready,’ he said “ for some serious intensity”.
