Horses and Hawaii go hand in hand. Which to some might be a strange thought, however since the introduction of cattle to the Hawaiian islands and then by default horses, the paniolo have played an integral roll in Hawaiian history. Wild and true thee paniolo were some of the most ocean savy horse men on the planet particularly those of kahuku ranch (Hawaii island). They drove Heards of cattle into the ocean, through the surf and out past the break all atop the backs of their horses. They then dove into the water to attach straps on the underside of the cows belly so they could be hoisted out of the water and onto the waiting steamers. Personally that sounds hectic, but I think @kayla.ginella_ could have been a paniolo in a past life. Considering she’s a three time world champion in some sort of extreme horse riding already.
