6.6.2022, tablescape details 🕊 If you’ve been reading these (I hope it really is helping any bride/groom to be’s) you’ll know that yellow was the colour of the day and now for me the colour of the summer this year. We did a trial with our wedding planner @alicewilkesdesign and she called in lots of British suppliers. She brought round a trestle table and options for the plates, cutlery etc - it really helps to see it in the flesh! One of our biggest decisions was whether we do the table linen in yellow or cream as we didn’t want it to clash or be too much with the dresses and flowers. Although I wanted to keep it beautiful, I knew I really wanted it to have identity. I didn’t want it to blend in too much, so we went with the yellow and it still worked with everything else just right. We went with gold rimmed plates from @maisonmargauxltd and gold cutlery from Whitehouse Event Crockery. The glassware, ooo the glassware I remember googling for hours and days to find the perfect ones, it was driving me crazy lol It’s funny the tiny details, I’m sure people wouldn’t even remember but when you’re given the option of all these decisions you want to make the perfect ones. I ended up deciding on these from @duchessbutler as they seemed to be the perfect mix of everything that was out there with the gold rims and the rippled effect with the shape. I didn’t want people to travel far to the wedding breakfast so we had it on the East Lawn right outside the Cathedral door and still had it as our view. I googled all over the place for the perfect marquee because I found it super hard to find one I loved and nearly gave up, until I found @lpmbohemian and their caged victorian style large orangery. Our cake was by @erzuliecakes and she built a 6 tier lemon drizzle cake with lemon buttercream icing and dried flowers in the middle with real flowers on the outside by @sophiesflowerco. The top tier was a fruit cake. It was exactly what I had envisioned from my Pinterest inspo with the mixture of real and dried flowers all over ✨ My favourite part were the favours as it was all about the personal touches.. will talk about these in the next post 💛
