Last week, we cut down on screen time by offering our daughter, A, 8 cards for her to choose her favorite shows from. We chose these shows because in general, the characters were kind and respectful, the scenes were not too fast moving, there was no good guy/bad guy theme and no flashing or violent elements. ✨Our current shows are: Guess how much I love you, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Pinkalicious, If you give a mouse a cookie, Daniel Tiger, Eleanor Wonder’s why, Puffin Rock, Stella & Sam, We’ve seen such an improvement in A’s behavior over the last week. Some days we have no screen time at all. This can be a little challenging when I’m working. I know people say you shouldn’t use a screen as a babysitter but as a working mother with a child who goes to school part time, I cannot cram all my work in between 8.30 and 11 and still have time to dedicate to my husband and other household needs.
