Avoid being price shamed: Train like hell in your services and specialty Have clear pricing based on an hourly rate and time standards Be mindful of how you run your business Treat every guest like gold Be present for your guests and hold space for them Have solid communication and a fresh consultation every time Build trust and be honest with your guests Manage expectations Have referrals ready for kind guests who are out of budget Lead your guest to services they can afford Find things you CAN do within their budget and make compromise NEVER TURN A GUEST AWAY, redirect the conversation to what they can afford and consult them to what will work for them If you have to say no, say it in a kind way If you do all of these things and you are still price shamed, know it is 100% about THEM AND THEIR INSECURITY and not about you! Even hairstylists are price shaming each other these days and I am convinced it’s for views and clout... keep your head held high, KNOW that you are worthy of your best life and get your pricing and business in ORDER!
