Here are some things I recommend for your next in-person (or virtual) #commercial #audition:1) Pay close attention to the “explanation” (blocking, what to say in your slate, props, etc.) The audition runners have been reciting these all day and they tend to run through it quickly/casually. Be alert!2) Stay in character until the very last second! If the audition runner isn’t saying “cut” yet...you’re still in the scene. If they’ve mentioned that they’d like you to improv, do it! It doesn’t have to be brilliant, it just has to be appropriate to the scene.3) And finally: take the wardrobe notes seriously. No need to buy anything, but really try to recreate what they’re asking for.
