Barolo vibes, weekday price tag.
#ad This is No Name Langhe Nebbiolo from @borgogno1761 - and if you’ve never heard of it, that’s kind of the point. It’s one of Piedmont’s best-kept secrets, made with the same grape as Barolo (Nebbiolo), but in a fresher, more approachable style that doesn’t ask for a special occasion.  Langhe Nebbiolo is something I was lucky to be introduced to when I was early in my career when I was young and broke, but still wanted to drink quality wine. It was explained to me that it’s what Italians drink when they’re saving the Barolo for a wedding (or just waiting for it to come around and be ready to drink) but still want something delicious with dinner.  Where Barolo can only come from the region of Barolo which comes with incredibly strict laws around how it’s made and aged, Langhe Nebbiolo can come from a much wider area of Piedmont and can be released at a younger age. It will still have all the things we love about Italian Nebbiolo: bright cherry, dried rose petals, a whisper of earth, and that refreshing acidity Nebbiolo is famous for. But you’ll notice it’s a little more bouncy, playful, and unfussy. It’s the kind of wine that doesn’t require a decant, is lovely with a chill, and that makes even a humble pasta night feel like a ritual. 🍝 And speaking of pasta, it is the PERFECT pasta wine! Pair it with a bowl of spaghetti bolognese or al pomodoro, a board of salumi and cheeses, or sautéed mushrooms and crusty bread. Light enough to refresh, structured enough to stand up to big flavors. This is wine for slow dinners, casual company, and the joy of not overthinking it. #borgognoOCM imported by @ethicawines
