Giving a reading from an essay I contributed to @the_gentlewoman’s Modern Manners anthology last night, in excellent company alongside fellow contributors Caroline Roux, Susan Irvine and Joan Juliet Buck. My essay was about money etiquette, and navigating having a lot less, or a lot more, than your friends. I’m rarely asked to do readings, I think because people assume non-fiction writers just want to debate and discuss (ahem - sometimes we don’t!), so this was a real treat 📚Cameo from @antoniaawebb’s excellent top.
