We all first met when we played a show together in New York in 2019, so though we are properly acquainted, this song was written and recorded separately in Los Angeles and New Zealand over zoom in the depths of the pandemic when we were all just looking for something productive to do. Despite the geographic barriers, we were in pretty quick sync and the track came together surprisingly fast. Maybe some of those feelings of isolation snuck through in the subject matter?
