Sometimes all your meal is missing is a little extra kick! Here’s an easy recipe for fermented hot sauce — keep it on hand to spice up your life... or at least your food. By fermenting the peppers, you up the beneficial gut-friendly enzymes and probiotics in your batch and give it a zesty tang! 🌶 Ingredients: + 3 hot peppers (use a mix of hot and sweet for milder heat) + 8 cups water + 5 whole garlic cloves, peeled + 1/2 cup salt + 1-2 cups white vinegar Directions: + Make the brine by combining water, garlic and salt. + Remove and discard tops from peppers, slice in half and place in an air-tight container or jar — the more seeds you keep, the hotter the sauce will be. + Pour brine over peppers to cover, making sure they are submerged. + Leave peppers to ferment at room temp for 7-14 days. + Drain brine and puree peppers in a food processor or blender while adding in the white vinegar to achieve the desired consistency. Fermented hot sauce will keep in the fridge for up to two months. . . . #thewell #wellness #health #healthy #lifestyle #selfcare #selflove #fitness #supportlocal #skincare #business #explore #spicy #hot #hotsauce #peppers #summer
