The whimsical, colorful world of Stacey Bendet, founder of @aliceandolivia, deftly veers from the serious (the massive Julian Schnabel portrait of her three daughters which immediately greets visitors in the entrance hall, image two) to the fanciful (the circus-tented family room, image three). The children’s spaces (images one, four, five, six, seven) are particularly delightful: “I want them to love their rooms. My heart is in making this special for each family member,” says Bendet, who worked with her friend interior designer @louisekugelberg to achieve her vision. “Yes, it’s an apartment in the historic Dakota in New York, but when you enter you travel somewhere else,” says Kugelberg.
