A decade ago on a trip to Brazil I had my heart broken when I saw firsthand the evils of sex trafficking. I have privately been committing my resources each year since then to try to fight it. With the support of my team at @starseedent, I have decided to use my platform to partner with @ijmcanada to multiply the difference that I can make on my own. A week ago I was blown away to see the passionate engagement of over 600 people, including NHL’ers, entertainment industry colleagues, and new friends I hadn’t had the chance to previously meet, join me for our first annual “Concert for a Cause” at the Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna British Columbia. I am so honoured to partner with International Justice Mission to fight this problem at its roots, and am proudly inviting you to join me in this movement to raise $5-million over the next three years to protect hundreds of thousands of children from sex trafficking.
