Our last family photo on this staircase...Today we ended this chapter of our story and moved out of this home we’ve loved so much as we say goodbye to the Pacific Northwest. We moved into this home the day before Greyson’s first birthday. We later brought London and then Wells to this home as newborns, growing our family to a party of five. In this home we celebrated birthdays, holidays, hosted countless dinner parties and baked endless amounts of cookies, pies and cakes. Before the pandemic, we had a revolving front door and there was always someone visiting or staying with us. Within these walls we laughed, we played, we sang and we danced. This is where we built our kids a school and invited our community to be part of it. This is the place where we stood on mountain tops and experienced seasons of great blessing and joy; This was also where we walked through some low, unpredictable valleys filled with days of heavy uncertainty. When lockdowns began, this is where were settled in as a family, pivoting our business through the pandemic. This is where we learned. This is where we grew. This is where we loved. When we bought this home, I thought it was our forever home, and I never thought we’d move; I’ve always pictured watching my girls come down that staircase in their prom dresses someday. But what I’ve come to realize is that sometimes we can't receive all that might be in store for our future until we have released and let go of everything we’re gripping so firmly to. If I have learned anything during this pandemic, it is to release, let go and trust. So that is what we are doing... we opened our hands, surrendered our hearts, and began to allow the next chapter of our life to unfold. We’ve said goodbye to our family and friends and we’re setting out on our greatest adventure yet, and growing our faith along the journey. The best is certainly yet to come. 📷: @marypastuh
