⚠️ Not my typical dad joke or pun: This is out of my comfort zone & I already posted it on my fitness page, but let’s chat. I’ve really been working on mindset lately and I wanted to share this here too in case it helps anyone. I’ve talked before about body image issues, and I know we all struggle with them to some extent. But progress with it (or anything else) isn’t always linear. You can have a great month, and then a couple bad days and you’re back to feeling awful about yourself. Social media is a highlight reel, but yet so many of us (myself included) let it affect how we feel about ourselves and our lives. Even if we do so subconsciously. Making an effort daily to listen to the thoughts that come in to your head, break down why you think you’re having them, and work through them is so helpful in gaining control of your mind. Vulnerable, but: I sent this picture to 4 of my friends the day I took it & asked them if I “looked fat”. I was feeling bloated, I didn’t like the way I looked, and I had eaten a big meal before. I wanted to post it because the background was beautiful, I had an amazing day with a great friend, and I truly felt happy. It was an experience I wanted to share! But I held myself back because I thought I didn’t look good enough to post it. Breaking these habits and this mindset isn’t easy, but it can be done 🫶🏻 Stop holding yourself back from going places, posting photos, or whatever it may be because you don’t feel “good enough”. You are, I promise. And we only get this one shot at life, we don’t want to look back later and realize we missed out because we were trying to impress everyone but ourselves. Your worth comes from who you are. Be a good person, be kind to people, and do things that make you happy. Let’s all stop stressin the small stuff.🫶🏻 #mindset #wellness #sandiego #sandiegofitness #travelcalifornia #fitspo #fitnessadvice #travelgram #travelspots #california
