"4 tips on keeping your curls moisturised this summer! ☀️⬇️ SAVE for future use & to keep those curls healthy through this heat! 🥵⁠ ⁠ ✅ TIP ONE ➡️ to use a hydrating curl cream / lotion. Here I am using the @floracurl sweet hibiscus curl activating lotion which is SO hydrating and glides through my hair with ease. By adding a lotion such as this at the start of your styling process, you’re providing your hair with much needed moisture. I rake and scrunch the lotion in, making sure it is distributed throughout my hair before moving onto the next tip!⁠ ⁠ ✅ TIP TWO ➡️ to then apply a gel throughout your hair prior to using styling techniques. This works best when it is a moisturising gel that provides quite a lot of slip such as the @floracurl sweet hibiscus curl defining gel, a personal favourite of mine which always guarantees me amazing results! By applying a gel here, the next tip / step becomes a lot easier as the gel helps the curls clump together.⁠ ⁠ ✅ TIP THREE ➡️ to layer the lotion and gel with a foam. This gives me a lot more volume and adds softness to my curls. I ALWAYS opt for the @floracurl sweet hibiscus curl volumizing foam, scrunching and raking it through my hair. This foam always gives my hair the lift and bounce it needs and smells DELICIOUS! I have bought a few bottles of this stuff myself, showing how much I adore it! 💗⁠ ✨ Before the final tip, and not mentioned in the reel, it is important to keep your hair wet. You can use a spray water bottle here 💦✨⁠ ⁠ ✅ TIP 4 (an optional tip but always effective) ➡️ to try finger rolling. After adding the lotion, gel and foam, you can then try your hand at finger rolling. This works by taking your fingers and rolling each strand up to your roots, releasing them gently. The gel is 🔑 to this step, allowing the clumps to stick together with ease.
