I have been traveling a lot the past few months so when @sabineheller invited me to a weekend away on the Maya Riviera I could have easily passed up on the opportunity. But following my intuition and spontaneity I accepted the invitation and thank god I did. And this weekend of all weekends, the weekend in which our rights as women in the country we call home we’re taken away. To have been amongst these brilliant women, from so many walks of life and generations, to talk about our own experiences with abortion and to try to understand what we can do next was invaluable. I share the rage of so many right now, when we should be moving forward they are tearing down what our mothers and grandmothers fought ferociously for. But there is strength in numbers and now more than ever we must find our coven so to speak and feed off the knowledge of our sisters. Surround yourself with women you admire, women who even in the face of despair and adversity never stop fighting and cling on to hope. Women who lift you up and celebrate your accomplishments.
