Jewelry designer Aurélie Bidermann moved into an 18th-century flat on the Left Bank with her daughter just three weeks before the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. With unanticipated extra time to study the light and flow in the majestic space, @theaureliebidermann comments that confinement “allowed me to do the apartment I wanted.” And what she wanted was something delightful, like the witty and whimsical pieces she designs. The final result is feminine, chic, and lighthearted, with dusty pink sofas in the salon, a dining area she calls “very tropical and fun,” and extremely pretty bedrooms for both Bidermann and her child. Her home office, image four, includes scarlet lamps by David Hicks. “The goal is to feel good, and comfortable,” says Bidermann. “It is very happy, isn’t it?” Full story September AD and link in bio. 📷 @matthieusalvaing styling @ana.cardinale text @danathomasparis
