I’m obsessed with the idea of consciously rebuilding a community. Of deconstructing and reshaping spaces that were originally built to be safe havens for some , while disregarding the voices of others. I’m intrigued by the idea of creating queer spaces that are built with the intention of basking in joy , laughter and camaraderie , while also being woven in the possibilities for criticism , conversation and healing. Thankfully this event in collaboration with @calvinklein, curated by myself and produced by @nssmagazine allowed for us to explore this on a small yet impactful scale — from the zest of the voguing workshops with @kenjii_benjii , the healing that lied in the experience of art therapy with @selene_ferrari & @agnesquestionmark , the innovation of the beat making workshop with @populousmusic and the conversation on queer narratives in Italy with @ellabottomrouge & @caspisan . I’m incredibly grateful for each and every person who took the time to be a part of all of this , and to all the talented artists who contributed their work for the exhibition. There’s still so much to do , both internally as a community , and of course as a society at large.
