England are EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS 🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 What a 4 weeks it’s been working across the @WEURO2022 for the @bbcsport. It’s been an absolute whirlwind and dream to cover this tournament. We’ve seen record breaking tickets sold and a nation supporting the Womens game. It is a moment I never thought I would see when retiring. In May 2021, I had breakfast with @steverudge from the BBC and my agency @neweraingenious where we discussed a potential broadcasting contract to cover Football Focus, Final Score, Live WSL and the Euro’s. At the time, I had no broadcasting experience, was nervous and lacked belief that I could do it. Yesterday was just the icing on the cake. To be pitchside and witness a record breaking attendance at Wembley and watch the @lionesses win felt like a dream. The atmosphere, the passion and the girls truly delivered. It’s been a year of learning, taking myself out my comfort zone but I am so grateful for this opportunity. There’s so many people to thank and I can’t wait to continue this journey.
