Another new &DearFriends tune is out today! @jcurtisarmstead and I went a little extra crazy with the @ehx Mel9 on this one. Some more background from @destroyingit :: The Sea And Cake is one of my top 3 favorite bands of all time. I'm obsessed. So when John McEntire, drummer for The Sea And Cake (and Tortoise! And producer of Stereolab! Broken Social Scene! Spoon! Teenage Fanclub!) agreed to play drums on TWO songs on our new &DearFriends album, lost my mind a lil. still get giddy every time think about it. This album was driven by collaboration, and in addition to bringing in lots of longtime local friends to contribute, it was also an honor to work with a few idols/influences as well. Thanks to John for providing such perfect drumming on this tune, as well as special guests @ghostvibrations and Geoff Register on vocals, and @amapleleafonthewind on some very rad vibraphone!
