Spots Near the Eyes?! - Here’s what they could be & how to help
Save for some of my favorite products :)
Our skin makes protein that is normally shed/exfoliated away. When that protein gets accidentally trapped under the skin surface, milia form.
There are a few other types of undereye bumps - syringomas, xanthelasma, etc that I’ll discuss in later videos.
The key for milia is gentle exfoliation:
1) warm compress for 5-10 minutes (may take multiple days)
2) gentle pressure (q-tip or silicone scrubber) - don’t force it
Prevention:
1) Topical Retinoids:
@differinus (Adapalene)
@rocskincare undereye cream
@exponent.beauty (coming soon!)
@urbanskinrx retinol
@neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair
2) Gentle Acids - Mandelic, lactic, glycolic
@theordinary lactic and Mandelic
@drdennisgross peel pads
@ourselfskin peel
@psaskin
What topic should I cover next? As always, comment your skincare questions :)
