2024✨ This year was quite an adventure and one with a lot of ups and downs. I got to worship my sweet savior. I got to celebrate. I got to graduate. I got to start my first semester at SNU. I have achieved things I have wanted for years. I got to perform in every way I wanted to. I am so thankful for the sweets friends that have got me through this year and excited for my future at SNU!❤️ On the other hand, I survived living with my endometriosis for another year. I had two major surgeries for my endo and neither one provided sufficient relief but I have learned so much about my condition and that it is a particularly difficult case to treat. I am thankful for both of my endo doctors and my health care teams in okc for walking through this year with me. The biggest thing I have learned is that there is no magic fix for endo. It is a process of managing the disease through excision surgeries, hormones, anti inflammatories, diet and other management methods. Our prayer has been that we find a doctor that listens, understands and has experienced in treating endo properly and working with patients longterm. I believe that we have accomplished that this year with Dr. Eugenio-Colon in Atlanta. We are so thankful for him and his team for how they work with patients like me and are passionate about helping endo warriors get their lives back. We still have a long way to go but we think we got a great start this year! All that being said, I have felt a pull torwards working in Women’s health this year as a PA. This is something I had never considered but as I have gone through this season and seen what living with this disease can do, I have felt God pulling me to a different profession. Without my experience in going through this disease, I would have never considered a new career path but now it doesn’t even seem like an option. God has deliberately called me to GO and help these women and make an impact on women’s health. Officially, I am still a music major at SNU, more specifically now a Performance Major but now with the addition of getting my pre-requisites for PA school. God has done some amazing things this year and I’m excited to see what he does in ‘25!
