Fun fact about me: I used to spend almost every week at the flower market downtown in LA, stocking up on props for photoshoots when I was a prop stylist, creative director and had my own agency creating content for brands (back when I was WAY TOO scared to be in FRONT of the camera!) I used to love making things with my hands (my first blog was a craft blog!) and once I pulled an all-nighter making cupcakes, a bday cake and tons of other props for a well-known brand’s VERY last minute commercial (that was my very first job as a stylist—EEEK!) Lately, I really miss the connected creativity that comes from making things with my hands, so I woke up early, headed downtown, let myself buy any flower that caught my eye and decided I would spend the afternoon arranging flowers JUST BECAUSE. As a creative being, it’s VITAL to follow those longings, to trust the process of creation and lay aside perfectionism and just DIG IN. For me, it was so scary to take that big leap from creating and building everyone else’s dreams, and pursuing MY OWN. It took ONE (very eeeek!) moment to put myself out there and change the course of my life, and I hope everyone has the chance one day to see, own and claim all they are and all they want to create in this world.
