“ Cajun Spice” W/ My Model Boo @meicathemodel I had a special assignment this year for @moroccanoilpro on @thebtcshow stage. I came in to transform 4B texture Type using @moroccanoilpro Professional Hair color as my tool. Seeing as how I am 4B texture type myself, who better for the job than me ☺️. I had to let my hair out too just so I could pair nicely with My Boo on stage. 👌🏿😁 All Artists need great supplies and paints to work with. I’m so blessed to have such an innovative Haircolor such as this one to create to create my Art. I utilized our Blonde Voyage Powder Lightener with 10 Volume to lift Meica’s Hair and I toned with our oxidative direct dye series “ Color Infusion “. Seeing as how 4C texture is sometimes left out of the conversation , I wanted to make sure that Meica’s hair really stood out on stage so I went with something Vivid. I began lifting her hair with my lightening mixture using my hands to saturate the midshaft to ends first . Once the midshaft to ends was lifted to about a level 7, I diluted the remaining amount of lightening mixture with distilled water and poured that into an applicator bottle . I used this to break the base to a level 6. This is a good tip when working with a tight texture for even saturation in the root and quick application . Also since the mixture was diluted I didn’t have to worry about hot roots or my root being lighter than the midshaft to ends. For toning I went in with “ Color Infusion” Color Infusion is a direct dye that’s oxidative. Meaning you have to mix it with a developer so that it can penetrate deeper than the cuticle layer . These dyes can be used directly or mixed in with the Permanent or Demi permanent color to pastelize, intensify, or neutralize. I also love using oxidative dyes because they have minimal bleeding without sacrificing vividness .
