When I first started posting on Instagram I heard so many people laughing about how try-hard it was for me to act like an ‘influencer’. Now a year later with an audience of over 90,000 followers, the most common question I get asked is – how did you do it? So here are some of my best tips that you don’t hear often that have helped me grow an engaged following: 1️⃣ REELS: Recreate viral content – but make it yours and make it PERSONAL • If you want to grow on Instagram you have to master the art of creating viral reels • The best way to go viral is to recreate viral videos in your niche until you learn how to create them originally • When researching trends, don’t just look to recreate ANY trend, look to recreate them in your own way that shares a personal story — this will build a loyal following of people who care about YOU 🤍 2️⃣ PHOTOS: Get discovered on Explore • For photos – focus on getting on the explore page by maximising the number of SAVES that you get – how? Give some sort of value whether it’s inspiration, education, or a photo that elicits a strong emotion that people will want to come back for. • E.g. If your face is too much the focus of the photo, then sometimes it takes away from the value-add — such as outfit inspo. So make sure the value add is very clear. 3️⃣ IMPROVE: Look at every piece of content that you put out there as a learning – when your content flops, don’t take it personally, think about WHY it didn’t resonate with your audience and adjust from there. • Sometimes it’s the wording of the text that didn’t resonate as well, or clips are too short or too long. • If the content didn’t perform well there was a reason so keep experimenting and posting until you figure out what content style works best for your audience 😌 Hope these tips helped! feel free to drop any other questions you have in the comments 🥰💌
