I don’t come on here with drama. I don’t start no mess but listen; when you put your mouth on people that I care about, I’m going to speak up. I’ve heard way too many times too recently and too close together how the unwise, untimely and untrue word of another has effected those closest to me. Be careful who you call friend, especially if their continued action proved otherwise. I definitely understand that there are seasons where we carry more of the load for people who are going through. I understand how exhausting it can be to feel like you’re in a one-sided situation. I even get someone not living up to the expectation you had of them when you agreed to pour in but NEVER are any of those things an excuse to respond immaturely with unkind, underprocessed, uninformed words for the sake of gossip to someone who is not the person that you actually have issue with. All of that to say, know when to HUSH. Be slow to speak and quick to listen and understand what people are going through. (#thatwasforme) Know when to journal or take your grievances to therapy or a trusted mentor to process WELL! Stop tarnishing people’s names, cancelling folks or dragging them through the mud just for the “pleasure” of vengeance. It’s nasty and short-sighted and unethical.
