The passing of the Big Cat Public Safety Act marks a shift in U.S. wildlife trade policy and puts an end to the long history of commercial breeding in the United States. Senior fellow @stevewinterphoto @sharon.guynup spent years documenting and investigating the big cat wildlife trade and uncovered the unjust treatment and breeding conditions for big cats. Now, the bill will head to President Biden for signature into law, hopefully reducing the influence of the big cat wildlife trade in the United States. This law won't stop illegal wildlife trade worldwide or even within the United States.
