I was burned out by the time i got to him. If you look from left to right you may notice the degree of attention from John to George to Paul and so on. I spent a week on John alone. I am used to drawing him circa 1980 with those tired eyes. I had to erase and start over several times to keep him looking 25. He was tired in this picture but he was young. He was still growing. They all were. But like Harrison has pointed out, the business hastened their growth. They were pressure-grown like rutabegas. They grew so fast they were Iike a mirage.
