I was guilty of every one of these prior to doing the work of deconstruction. Listening to understand rather than to deflect hasn’t always been easy, but it’s definitely worth it. I’m grateful to know there are always opportunities to learn and grow. A mentor once told me that humility in its purest form is to remain teachable.
