I call these “what I ate on THIS day” because no two days are the same. What I end up eating depends on a lot— when we went to the store, what I’m doing that day, how I’m feeling, if the stars are aligned, etc. so I never want to give the impression that a day like this (one that I feel REALLY good about nutritionally) is an accurate representation of every day of eating for me. It’s also important to mention that when you’re filming something like this, you tend to be more aware of what you’re consuming in general. That being said, this was the first day I’ve felt like I’m out of the “food rut” I’ve been in for the last few months 🙌🏻 For me, that’s looked like wanting more packaged things, not feeling inspired to cook for myself (something that I usually love doing), and snacking instead of prioritizing meals. I give myself grace as I’ve spent the past few months creating weekly menus and cooking for other families (and have loved it!) but doing it for myself on top of that felt like a lot of extra work.
